Hello! My name is Lee Ann Ashburn and I am your Tour Coordinator. I look forward to getting to know you and learning your vision for the trip. Once you have signed up with School Tours of America, you become one of our “extended family members.”    I take pride in the fact that we as a company don’t treat our teachers/leaders like a “number."

My Tour Experience

I have been in the educational tour business for about 18 years working as a Tour Coordinator.

I have planned trips to all of our main sites such as Washington, DC, New York City, Williamsburg, Charlottesville, Philadelphia, and Boston.

I’ve even coordinated some not so common trips to Orlando, Niagara Falls, and San Francisco.

Some of my favorite tour sites are Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson, all of the memorials in DC (especially in the evenings), and anything in New York City!

My Tour Philosphy

As I mentioned before, our teachers become part of our “extended family," so that means I have “family” all over this great country! So with all families, one of the keys for everything running smoothly is communication!

Always know that if you have any questions or concerns, all you need to do is let me know. That’s the only way I can help!

I work very hard to secure all requested appointments and customize your trip according to your wishes.

I definitely want to help create the best trip possible for you and your students!

My Personal Background

I graduated from Texas A&M University and am a loyal Aggie fan! Whoop (For any of my Aggie Teachers)! I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education in 1992.

I am originally from Denison, TX, a small town on the border of Texas and Oklahoma. I moved to Houston in 1993 and have been here ever since.

I have amazing parents and 2 older brothers that are also my friends. Between them I have 4 awesome nephews and 1 awesome niece, all of which I adore!

I spend my free time playing tennis, enjoying lots of friends, and baking!

My Final Note

Thank you for choosing to travel with School Tours of America! I look forward to helping you and your students.

One way for you to help us in getting to know you better is by filling out a brief survey to know your more generalized tour expectations.

While I will work diligently with you to customize your tour, this survey is very helpful in knowing where to start and addresses some very important tour preferences.
