In 2026, the United States will celebrate its 250th anniversary, marking two and a half centuries since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. This historic milestone offers a moment to reflect on the nation's journey—from its revolutionary beginnings to its ongoing pursuit of liberty, justice, and unity. Across the country, communities will commemorate the occasion with events, exhibits, and conversations about America's past, present, and future.

School Tours of America invites your tour group to explore America during this extraordinary time. All of these locations have played a pivotal role in the making of America.

250th Sticker Showdown Contest!

The 250th Sticker Showdown is a student contest sponsored by School Tours of America to celebrate the nation's semiquincentennial in 2026, marking the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. School Tours of America invites students in grades 5-12 to participate in this historic milestone by creating a design for a sticker that will be included in the travel packets distributed to all of STA's tour groups traveling during 2026!

250th STICKER SHOWDOWN RULES

Submission Deadline: October 31, 2025
Eligibility: Any student in grades 5-12 who has traveled or will be traveling with School Tours of America is eligible to enter.
Requirements:
- Students at each grade level may create artwork. Students must have a Group Leader, parent, or legal guardian submit their entry to marketing@schooltoursofamerica.com. Be sure to include your Trip ID #, Participant ID #, and your Group Leader's name with your submission. Submit as many sticker designs as you want.
- Entries can be in the following formats: .pdf, .png, or .jpg, with a minimum resolution of 300 pixels per inch. The final sticker will be a 2" diameter circle.
- NO AI designs will be accepted. Sticker submissions created by AI will automatically be disqualified.
- Students must create sticker designs individually. No group designs are permitted.

What does the winner of the 250th Sticker Showdown win?

One student winner will receive $250 cash, as well as a set of the stickers they designed for their entire class/travel group! The winner's Group Leader will earn 250 STA Travel Bucks. Award recipients will be announced in January 2026!
