ELEVATE YOUR LEARNING:
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
WITH SCHOOL TOURS
The benefits are simple:
As part of the Educational Travel class, participants will create a travel journal from their tour and write a reflective essay that explores their personal growth inspired by their travels.
This course provides educators with an opportunity to strengthen their professional knowledge through the reading and reflective analysis of an approved educational book. Each participant may select a recommended book title from the STA Library or seek permission from the Instructor of Record to read a book of their choice related to educational topics.
Receive 2 CEUs for participating in the Educational Travel program or the Reading Room course with a short reflective essay or book review, respectively. To determine if CEUs are recognized in your area, consult your local or state education guidelines.
Students traveling with School Tours of America have the exclusive opportunity to enroll in the STA Compass Course, a dynamic academic program offered in partnership with Adams State University.
This course allows students to reflect deeply on their travel experiences, dive into topics that interest them, and design a personalized project, all while meeting high school academic standards and the expectations of an accredited university.
Upon successful completion, students will earn an official transcript from Adams State University and a certificate of completion from School Tours of America. These credentials validate their academic achievement in the STA Compass Course and can strengthen college applications, scholarship opportunities, and résumés.
