She’s Bringing Travel to Life
Meet Madison!
by Madison B
Hi! I’m Madison, and I have recently joined the STA family. I have been part of the educational travel industry for the past seven years. During that time, I’ve had the opportunity to work with schools across the country and experience nearly every major domestic destination offered in student travel. From Washington, D.C., and Boston to New York City, Philadelphia, Florida, and even our National Parks, I’ve been fortunate not only to help plan these experiences but also to be part of them.
And I can confidently say… there’s nothing quite like it.
Two of my favorite destinations have always been Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. There’s something incredibly powerful about standing in the very places students have spent years learning about… walking the same streets, seeing the monuments up close, and truly connecting with the history that shaped our country. It takes learning beyond the page and turns it into something real. That’s what makes educational travel so impactful.
Not only discovering new places, but also:
- Bringing classroom lessons to life
- Creating meaningful connections to history and culture
- Building confidence and independence in students
- Giving them the opportunity to experience something completely new
These trips create moments that students carry with them long after they return home.
I’m also a mom of five, which makes this work even more meaningful to me. As a parent, I understand how important it is to feel confident in the experiences our children are part of, and I truly hope that each of my own kids will have the opportunity to participate in educational travel programs like these throughout their school years. I’ve seen firsthand the impact they have, not just academically, but personally. The growth, the independence, the friendships, the memories… It’s something that stays with them!
What I Bring to the Table
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of schools and educators, supporting programs in locations such as:
- Washington, D.C.
- Boston
- New York City
- Philadelphia
- California
- Florida
- National Parks across the U.S.
I’ve also had the opportunity to travel alongside students and teachers for educational events across the country, giving me a unique perspective on both the planning side and the real, on-the-ground experience. That experience allows me to better support educators because I understand not just what goes into planning a trip, but what it actually feels like to be part of one.
Looking Ahead
As part of our new video series, STA Travel Tips, I’m excited to connect with more educators, share insights, and help support teachers in bringing these incredible opportunities to their students. Whether it’s your first time planning a trip or you’ve been doing it for years, my goal is to provide helpful, practical guidance that makes the process easier and more impactful.
Let’s Connect
Educational travel has a way of leaving a lasting impression on students, teachers, and even those of us who get to be part of making it happen. I’m so grateful to be part of this work and to help create experiences that truly make a difference. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you along the way.
